It has now been six years since British expat Mark Palmer seemingly vanished into thin air.
The then 32-year-old was living in Ontinyent, a small inland town in the province of Valencia when he disappeared on April 27, 2019.
He was last seen at around 10.30am in the town, where he had been living for five months.
In a video appeal last year, his father Mark Palmer Sr said his mother and three siblings ‘miss him deeply.’
He said Mark had moved to Spain for a ‘better life’ and that the family were ‘happy for him.’
‘We often think about him, and chat about him, and the some of the daft things he used to do,’ he said.
At the time of his disappearance, Mark was reportedly distressed and had expressed suicidal thoughts. A friend reported him missing after not hearing from him for 10 days .
Mark is 5’11” (178 cm) tall with a slim build, short red/ginger hair, a red/ginger beard, and hazel eyes.
He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black DeWalt trousers with white paint marks. He may have been carrying a drawstring bag.
Despite extensive searches, including areas around Ontinyent and major transport hubs like Alicante-Elche Airport, no significant leads have been found.

There were unconfirmed sightings near Sax and Elda-Petrer on Spain’s Costa Blanca, but these did not lead to any breakthroughs .
The UK charity Missing People has been supporting the family with counselling and publicity appeals.
They continue to appeal for any information regarding Mark’s whereabouts.
