According to state weather agency Aemet, temperatures will begin to pick up from Tuesday onwards, starting with highs of 24C in parts of Andalucia, before reaching 31C by the weekend.
Next Friday will see the temperature peak with highs of 25C in Almeria and Malaga, including the Costa del Sol.
The mercury will climb even higher that day in inland areas, while other forecasters predict even hotter temperatures on the Saturday.

The hottest province will be Sevilla, with highs of 31C expected on Friday.
Cordoba will experience temperatures of up to 28C, Granada 27C and both Huelva and Jaen 26C.

The spike in heat will be a warm welcome to the region following the wettest March in recent history.
A series of Atlantic storms have wrought havoc in Andalucia over the past couple of months.
At least four people lost their lives during extreme rain and flash floods, while tornadoes left buildings damaged in the likes of Huelva and Sevilla.
