Photos of the potentially lethal sausages were shared by a local animal charity Mirada Libre Estepona.
It wrote: ‘Attention, danger! Sausages with pins found in the Galera area.
‘The family that found them has collected them all, and we’re investigating the possibility of cameras being used to find the culprit who may be committing animal abuse…
‘Please be very careful with your pets and animals in the colonies.’

If ingested by dogs, the sausages would have likely proven fatal.
The attacker may have also been targeting so-called ‘cat colonies’, the name given to packs of stray cats who are cared for by the local community.
The Costa del Sol is filled with stray cat colonies, with hundreds of felines being cruelly dumped or abandoned each year.
Some locals in the past have been caught poisoning such colonies, which they see as a nuisance.
In Sevilla, a current surge in rat populations is being blamed on recent killings of stray cats, which are the pest’s natural predator.
The Spanish Eye has contacted Estepona’s local police for comment.
