A sinkhole has caused chaos in Andalucia after being detected on a busy motorway.
The natural phenomenon was found on the A-49 between Bollullos Par del Condado and Bonares-Niebla, in the western province of Huelva on Wednesday.
Photos shared by Spain’s Transport Ministry showed workmen spending all night repairing the two-metre wide hole.
They used a digger to fill the gap with cement right until the top, before smoothing it over and leaving it to dry.

Traffic was diverted much of Wednesday and overnight. The disruption continued into Thursday.
The government said in a statement on Thursday: ‘After a night of work, the sinkhole discovered yesterday on the A-49 between Bollullos Par del Condado and Bonares-Niebla (Huelva) has been covered.
‘Today we will extend the concrete pavement to continue the repair and restore traffic as soon as possible.’
