FED-up Spaniards have accused the Brits of ‘colonising’ Benidorm and ‘treating its people like servants’.
The furious comments came after two video clips were shared by anti-tourism Instagram page @guirisgohome this week.
One video from the TikTok account @Benidorm.esp shows a series of bar terraces filled with mostly Brits enjoying a daytime drink.
A second clip by British TikToker @ebuchanan200 shows him half-dressed on a double-seated mobility scooter while brandishing a drink and introducing his followers to his friend ‘Madge’.
The GuirisGoHome page this morning revealed the messages it had received upon sharing the videos.
One read: ‘Pathetic, I am from Alicante and in many cases the guiris treats us like their servants everywhere.’
Another said: ‘When a fascist talks of colonisation after seeing a muslim on the street, they are silent about those who are actually robbing our homes and cities.’
One local in Malaga said their city centre would ‘soon’ look exactly the same.
Another chimed in: ‘In Malaga there are already bars where the English are the owners and if you don’t speak English they refuse to serve you.’

The videos also sparked backlash from locals on TikTok.
One commented: ‘Not even one Spaniard’, to which another replied, ‘I’m driving far away, this looks like Mordor.’
Another said: ‘This is what they want to turn the rest of Spain into if we don’t do something.’
One speechless Spaniard said: ‘I don’t even know what to say’, while another wrote, ‘as a Spaniard, I am afraid.’
One joked that it was a ‘shame’ that the Spanish Armada was unable to defeat the Brits in 1588.

Even British commenters criticised the videos, with one writing: ‘Solidarity with the Spanish anti-tourism protesters.’
Another said: ‘This is why they don’t want us there and I’m not surprised.’
It comes just days before nationwide protests are set to take place, including in Alicante, just a short drive from Benidorm.
The demonstrations on April 5 will call for an end to the ‘housing racket’ in Spain, a reference to the surging number of Airbnb-style properties, which locals say are driving up prices and stripping supply.
Angry locals will march across the country’s biggest tourist hotspots, including Valencia, Malaga, Tenerife, Sevilla, Madrid and elsewhere.
