THIS is the moment a suspected shooter fled the scene in Malaga on Wednesday after allegedly leaving four people injured.
Footage shared on Instagram shows a short man in a grey tracksuit running away from Calle Gaucin, situated in the southern district of Carretera de Cadiz.
Neighbours have been left ‘stunned’ by the events, which are being investigated by the country’s National Police.
According to witnesses, a man shot at several people near a bakery and hair salon.
Officers from local and national police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene.
The condition of the four injured was unknown overnight, although local Spanish newspaper Malaga Hoy reported that they were shot in various parts of their bodies.
Sources close to the investigation told the same newspaper that the shooting erupted during an argument between a couple, which locals tried to mediate and ended up getting caught in the crossfire.
The motive remains unclear after police were also investigating whether a row between rival gangs was to blame.
There is believed to have been one shooter who fled the scene in a car shortly after opening fire.
Among the victims is a 73-year-old man who was shot in the chest and a 37-year-old who took a bullet to the arm. They were transported to Malaga Regional Hospital.
Two victims, men aged in their late 30s, have been taken to Hospital Clinico Malaga. One has bullet wounds to the thigh and abdomen, while another was shot in the thigh.
