STORM Nuria will land in Spain this week, bringing showers to large parts of the country.
According to state weather agency Aemet, the weather system will blow in from the Atlantic and begin to be felt most strongly on Thursday night.
The most affected areas will be in the west of the country, with strong winds and rain to hit large parts of Andalucia and Extremadura.
In Malaga province, the rain will actually arrive on Wednesday and will last until Friday in some areas.
The showers will be weak and locally moderate and will most likely affect the western half of the province, including the Costa del Sol.
Nuria is set to hit the Canary Islands the strongest, with orange level warnings issued for strong winds and rough seas on Thursday.
Unlike the four named storms in March, Nuria has not activated a string of weather alerts on the mainland, with none in place over the next few days.
Wednesday morning has a 100% chance of rain in Benaojan, Cortes de la Frontera, Gaucin, Casares and Manilva.
This is expected to be repeated on Thursday, although rain will also increase in the eastern half of Malaga province.
Heavy rains are forecast on Wednesday and Thursday for Extremadura, Sevilla, Galicia and Castile and Leon.
Only Alicante, Murcia, Almeria and the Balearic Islands will avoid the rainfall this week.
