A British man is in a serious condition after being stabbed in the stomach in Tenerife.
The 22-year-old was hospitalised after being attacked at around 6.30am on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Avenida Antonio Dominguez Alfonso, in the town of Arona, near the popular resort of Los Cristianos in the south of the island.
According to the 112 emergency service, the Brit was stabbed ‘with a sharp weapon’. It did not provide more details.
Paramedics stabilised the victim at the scene before transferring him by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.
He was admitted with a serious abdominal wound and his current condition is unknown.
The Policia Nacional force has taken over the investigation.
There have been no arrests at the time of reporting.
